Understanding Your ICP Settings

Your ICP (Ideal Customer Profile) settings tell us exactly who to target. Getting this right is the single biggest driver of meeting quality.

What We Target

Industries — The verticals where your best clients come from. Be specific. "Technology" is too broad; "B2B SaaS" or "Cloud Infrastructure" is better.

Job Titles — The decision-makers you want in meetings. We match these against LinkedIn title data. Include variations: "VP of Sales", "Head of Sales", "Sales Director".

Company Size — Employee count range. This filters by buying power and complexity. A 10-person startup has different needs than a 500-person enterprise.

Geography — Where your prospects are located. Default is United States.

How to Update Your ICP

  • Go to Settings → ICP Targeting
  • Edit your industries, titles, and company size
  • Click Save
  • Your next list build will use the updated criteria.

    When to Refine

After your first 10 qualified meetings, review outcomes:

    • Converted clients → what did they have in common? Double down.
    • Not a fit → what signals predicted this? Exclude them.
Use the Log Outcome feature on qualified meetings to capture this data. Wire uses it to refine targeting over time.
